Hola! My name is Cynthia Ramirez, and I'm a fourth year graduating seniorWomen Studies major with a concentration in Gender, Sexuality, and Chicana Lesbian Literature ;) This year I'm also working on finishing up my minors in Chicana & Chicano Studies and Education. Like many of you, I'm a first generation college student and was born and raised in South Central L.A. UCLA has been an adventure thus far; yet I truly had difficulty adjusting my first couple of quarters here. Once I took advantage of the many endless opportunities and vast amount of resources here at AAP, I was able to feel more comfortable with the many identities that I uphold, queer Latina, actress, and a traveler, to name a few. As a freshly minted Peer Counselor, I see myself interacting and enlightening many of you, as well as inspiring you to strive for your goals no matter how unattainable they may seem. Are you interested in studying abroad, learning more about being out on campus, coping with a disability (i.e. hearing impairment, like me), Greek life, or the performing arts? Let me know when works best for us to meet up for an appointment to make your undergraduate career here at UCLA worthwhile. Im here for you! Ciao ;)
