Ernesto Moreno Math Full-Time Counselor: Alejandra Flores

Hey, everyone, my name is Ernesto Moreno, and I am originally from Delano, CA. I'm the youngest in my immediate family and the first to go to college. I love going home as often as I can because I get to see my parents, my two brothers, and my friends. I am currently a third year at UCLA and enjoying every minute of it. I have been involved with the UCLA Migrant Program, Cal Teach, tutoring high school students, and peer counseling. My ultimate goal is to have a family of my own and go back to my community to become a high school math teacher. Even though I do not need a math degree to teach math, I hope to complete the mathematics for teaching major because...well, because I can. I hope to eventually go on to graduate school for a master's in education. I am very excited to be part of the peer counseling team and look forward to working with the incoming UCLA population.
