Edgar Villasenor UND/Sci Full-Time Counselor: Alejandra Flores

Hello everyone! My name is Edgar Villasenor, and I am about to embark on my second year here at UCLA. I am currently Undeclared but looking into the sciences meaning that I'm still finding out what I do not want to do in life. I was born in our very own city of Los Angeles and raised in the little city of South Gate. I am the oldest of four children and the first in my family in the United States to attend a major university. I am really passionate when it comes to family, friends, food, and life in general. On campus I am an active member of the Latin American Student Association and a part of the UCLA Men's Club soccer team. My first introduction to the Academic Advancement Program and peer counseling came as a student during the 2006 Freshman/Transfer Summer Program. The program had such a positive impact on me that I decided to do as Gandhi once said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world," and endeavored to become a Peer Counselor. Now that I am here, I hope that my optimistic outlook on life and my strong belief in the AAP system can aid me in making a difference one student at a time.
