General Information:
STP is a 6-day residential program that will prepare students who are close to transferring with the skills to complete the appropriate coursework and assist them with the application process. In addition, students will receive individual advising and personal assistance to complete the application and personal statement.

Students will explore their career options, graduate school and financial resources available to them. The program will introduce them to research opportunities, the demands of University writing, and the many support programs available. The program will focus on resources available to African-American students.

Requirements:

  • Must be a continuing Community College student;

  • Must have completed English Composition or higher with grade "C" or better;

  • Must be in progress towards completing the UC Transferable Math requirement;

  • Must be interested in transferring in the Fall of 2009;

  • Must submit completed Application by May 23rd, 2008 to the CCCP office (address/faxnumber: Click Here);

  • Must submit a copy of your unofficial transcripts;

  • Must be interested in African-American resources in higher education; and

  • Must be available for an interview with STP Staff if necessary;

STP Application:
As we have many students who would like to participate in STP, we recommend that you apply as soon as possible.
