On this page you will find practical information that will assist you with the application process. We have handouts, course materials (available soon) and downloadable podcasts. Applying to graduate school is an exciting and terrifying adventure - don't do it alone!

Grad Prep Course

The AAP Graduate School Preparation course (HC101G) is a six-week intensive graduate preparation program for eligible AAP and Athletics Department students. The program's goals are to increase student awareness about graduate schools and to increase AAP and Athletics student competitiveness for graduate admissions.

Note: Class workshops and presentations are available online via podcasting for students unable to enroll officially in the course.

Here's what a former Grad Prep student had to say:

"My name is Veronica . . . and I participated in the Grad Prep program during Session C [2007]. I was accepted into various teacher education programs such as UCLA, LMU, and COLUMBIA. I will be attending Columbia Teachers College this fall I am very excited. I couldn't have done it without all the strategies I learned in the GRAD Prep Program. This program made the graduate school application process much smoother. This program is excellent and I highly recommend it to all graduating seniors."
