AAP Mentoring Programs

Are you thinking about applying to graduate or professional school? AAP Mentoring Programs offers AAP students the opportunity to obtain valuable research-oriented academic preparation in virtually any academic major including science, math, engineering, social sciences and the arts and humanities.

Our free services include:

  • One-on-mentoring with a currently enrolled UCLA graduate student
  • Workshops and information sessions
  • Review of statements of purpose and other professional school admissions essays
  • Resource library

Mentoring Programs is committed to social justice and to the transformation of the academy. In this effort, a special emphasis is made to increase the number of low-income and ethnically underrepresented students in graduate or professional school and in academic/research professional positions. Additionally, we encourage students to participate in service learning opportunities and community-based research projects in order to transform their undergraduate experience and to engage in multiple communitiesboth on and off campus.
