My name is Aaron Allen and I am currently in the African American Studies M.A. Program. I am originally from the Bay Area, but hesitantly left to attend UCLA as an undergraduate. My love for the Bay made the transition a challenging one, but I have become acclimated to life in Los Angeles and at UCLA. I received my Bachelors degree in sociology while participating in the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program and working as an AAP tutor. Not really sure what graduate school was all about, I decided to become informed about life after undergrad and quickly realized a graduate degree beat going back to Starbucks. Since entering my M.A. program I have enthusiastically taken on the roles of AAP Tutor Supervisor and Graduate Mentor for Research Rookies. When I'm not doing the "scholar thing" I enjoy watching Sportscenter and reruns of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I look forward to working with you, so stop walking past the door and come on in.
