Hi, I'm Cari Ann, the WAC Mentor. I'm a second year MFA at the World Arts and Cultures Department. My specialty is making dance films. I did my undergrad 8 years ago at the UCLAWAC Department. While as an undergrad, I studied abroad through the EAP program, spending a year in Ghana West Africa researching traditional dance and music. I encourage all of my students to study abroad.
After graduating with a BA in Choreography, I spent the last 8 years working in Los Angeles as a Choreographer, Dance Instructor, Theater Director, Filmmaker and Arts Advocate. I am a firm believer in arts serving the community.
I founded and direct the dance department at Culver City High School Academy of Visual and Performing Arts and believe that through hard work and persistence you can make any idea a reality. I look forward to mentoring all of the WAC students. Please come see me so I can help you take full advantage of the wonderful opportunities that surround you.
