Georgina Guzman English Research Rookies

Hello! My name is Georgina Guzman, and I'm a 5th year graduate student in the English Department. I just got my M.A. (yay!) and I'm on my way to starting my dissertation and getting my Ph.D. I'm interested in Chicana/o Literature, 20th century American literature, with an emphasis on gender, race, and class in literature.

I graduated from UCLA in 2002 with a BA in English and a minor in Chicana/o Studies and I've been a part of AAP for 8 years now. I was an English tutor next door in the Humanities Tutoring Lab for four years, and this is now my 4th year as a graduate mentor/3rd year as a Research Rookies mentor. I love to talk literature, art, music, and film, so come by so we can talk about why YOU should pursue research in these fields!
