I am actually a high school teacher who did not finish high school. Instead of scribbling on worksheets teachers used to distribute to pacify us, I was memorizing and articulating the social analysis evoked by albums like NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" and KRS-ONE's "Edutainment."

I have since become more academic with my endeavors, and my research is geared towards developing the type of critical literacy programs I wish I had in high school.
