Julie Chang
Advises students in: Pre-Law, Anthropology, History and Social Science
I’m Julie Chang, a 2nd year student here at UCLA’s School of Law. I am a double bruin graduating from UCLA
as an undergrad in 2004 with degrees in Anthropology, Asian American Studies, East Asian Studies and History.
I truly enjoyed my time at UCLA because I was able to utilize many of the resources that UCLA has to offer.
I took courses that I loved from field work independent studies to beginning Indian drumming. The diversity
of courses and activities, as well as the various campus and community organizations I became involved in
helped me decide to pursue a law degree. Particularly, the School of Law Academic Outreach Center’s Law
Fellows Program was a great resource and gave me much guidance and encouragement to return back to school.
My legal experience includes working in non-profit legal aid centers and clinics, government agencies, as
well as a large corporate firm. I look forward to meeting students who are interested in a legal education.
I am eager to share my experiences with law school life, work after college, as well as general advice on
being an undergraduate student especially with any of the majors I have done so feel free to stop by Murphy
Hall.
