Casey Eznekier
Advises students in: Education, Psychology, Cognitive Science and Life Sciences
Hello! My name is Casey Eznekier and I am a second year doctoral student in the Higher Education program.
I am a California native and grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. Although I have lived in Los Angeles for
over 8 years, I still have a soft spot for Norcal and, of course, the San Francisco Giants.
I started at UCLA as an undergraduate thinking about pre-med, and after many long nights with my
chemistry and biology books I realized that pre-med was not a good fit for me. Luckily, I had one of the
best jobs on campus working as an ASK Peer Counselor. I had so much fun, I realized that this was what I
wanted to do and I changed my major and career path. I ended up receiving my B.S. in Cognitive Science
with a minor in Education Studies.
When I am not working or in class, you may find me at many UCLA football and basketball games
cheering the Bruins on to victory or spending some quality time at home with my TiVo catching up on
my favorite shows.
I love visitors, so come by and chat! We can plan schedules, talk about majors, or discuss graduate
school. I am a major-changer at heart, having changed majors/minors many times, and no question is a
stupid one!
I look forward to working with you!
