Hi everyone,

My name is Ryan Murphy and I’m a PhD student in Epidemiology here at UCLA. I’m originally from Colorado and moved to California at the start of high school. I received my undergraduate degree from Occidental College in biology with an emphasis in cellular and molecular biochemistry. After that I came here to UCLA and picked up my Masters of Public Health degree.

I’m a former athlete (cross-country and track) so if I’m not here on campus I’m probably out running, hiking, rock climbing, or playing golf. If it gets me outdoors I’m there. I used to work as a hall coordinator and was always sad to see students wait too long to seek academic advising. Don’t let that happen to you. Come early, come often and most importantly come see me with your questions and concerns, I’m here to help!
