Transferring Credit

If you have taken coursework elsewhere and would like to apply those courses to your UCLA degree requirements, the courses must be transferrable, and you must have official transcripts sent to Admissions.

If you wish to apply your coursework to preparation, major or minor requirements, please consult your major or minor department.

If you would like coursework to apply towards College or University requirements (e.g., General Education, foreign language, Writing I or II, etc.) you may submit a blue petition the College once the coursework has been posted to your DPR. You may submit an advisory petition if you would like to know whether a course would be approved before taking it; approvals are provisional and contingent upon courses being deemed transferrable by Admissions.
