Beinecke Memorial Scholarship


For Juniors Planning Graduate Study in the Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences

UCLA juniors who demonstrate outstanding intellectual and scholastic achievement, show commitment to their field of study, and plan to pursue a Master's Degree or Ph.D in the arts, humanities or social sciences may apply for this scholarship. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of academic merit and financial need.

Award:
$34,000 for graduate study

Eligibility:
An applicant must be nominated by UCLA and:

1) Be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. national
2) Be a junior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree on a full-time basis ("junior" is defined as a student who has one more year of undergraduate study after the year of application)
3) Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement
4) Have a documented history of receiving need-based financial aid
5) Intend to pursue a graduate degree in the arts, humanities, or social sciences
