Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship


Outstanding UCLA Seniors or recent graduates in all disciplines, who plan to pursue a graduate degree in any field, are invited to apply for a Jack Kent Cooke Graduate Scholarship. The Cooke Foundation awards up to 50 scholarships each year on the basis of academic merit and financial need, in order to fund up to six years of graduate study.

Award:
Up to $50,000 per year for up to six years of graduate or professional school study (including medicine, law, or business)

Eligibility:
An applicant must be nominated by UCLA and:
1) Be a college senior (graduating by August 2008) or recent graduate (May 2003 or after)
2) Have a cumulative college grade point average of 3.5 or better
3) Begin a full-time graduate degree program in Fall 2008
4) Have documented financial need, as noted on your FAFSA disbursement letter (NOT the FAFSA application)

Documents to be submitted:
1) Application for nomination (see link below)
2) FAFSA disbursement letter - You must include a copy of your FAFSA Disbursement Letter showing how your grants and loans were assessed for the last year of your undergraduate study. For example, if you are completing your undergraduate degree at UCLA in Winter 2008, you would submit a copy of your FAFSA disbursement letter from academic year 2007-2008.
3) Copies of your UCLA and (if applicable) non-UCLA transcripts (may be unofficial).

Do NOT, at this time, include letters of recommendation or other documents.
