Counseling
Creative people tend to want
to be creative with their curriculum. Honors counselors, trained in the
rules and regulations governing degrees and the curriculum, help students
plan their program and find honors courses that best meet their academic
needs and graduation goals. The counselors support students personally
and academically through their tenure at UCLA and help them with their
pre- and post-graduation plans. Honors Counselors serve all students participating
in Honors Programs as well as departing and returning Education Abroad
Program students, Blue and Gold Wasserman Scholars, first-year Alumni and
Regents Scholars, and other special cohorts.
We have same-day counseling appointments available
everyday. The busiest times of the quarter, in
terms of demand for counseling, are usually the first two weeks of the
quarter, enrollment periods, and the end of the quarter. In order to have the best opportunity to book an appointment we advise you to come by or call our office as early as 8:30am.
Our Honors Counselors
are Tracey Martin, Nol Martín-Tungpalan, Lovell
Sevilla, Toi Turner, and Alison Nickerson. You can see a counselor regarding fulfilling
College Honors requirements, scheduling classes, selecting a major, as
well as for other academic and personal counseling. You are not assigned
to any particular counselor.
