Welcome to Honors Programs

Collegium of University Teaching Fellows

CUTF seminars (numbered 98T) are taught by distinguished graduate-student, teaching fellows and all carry automatic honors credit (as long as a grade of "B" or better is earned).

Please be aware that while many of these courses carry GE credit, there is a limit on the number of PSSPs (as well as lower division seminars and CUTF seminars, most of which are numbered "88" or "98") that may be applied towards GE. Students may apply no more than one GE-approved seminar per division (i.e., one in Humanities, one in Physical Sciences, one in Social Sciences, and one in Life Sciences). The first two such seminars that a student takes will be applied automatically (as long as they are in different divisions) but additional seminars must be petitioned individually with the College. There is no limit, however, to the number of seminars that may be applied toward College Honors requirements.

Please note: CUTF courses are only taught in the Winter and Spring quarters.

CUTF seminars are listed in the body of the Schedule of Classes under the appropriate departmental heading (e.g., Anthropology, Comparative Literature, etc.). Click on the course number below for course enrollment information.

You are welcome to consult the CUTF Office in 60 Powell, (310) 206-8998, if you have additional questions. Please note that satisfaction of the University Subject A/English 2 requirement is a prerequisite for all "98T" seminars. Please consult the Schedule of Classes for the most up-to-date enrollment information for all CUTF courses.
