The Scholarship Resource Center (SRC) serves as an information base and support service for students seeking scholarships. The SRC is open to all UCLA students regardless of financial aid eligibility. The SRC reminds UCLA students to visit between 11am and 6pm, Monday through Friday, and research the many print listings in our scholarship library. You don't need an appointment, and many scholarship sources that appear in our books may not appear on the web.
The best time to apply for private scholarships is between September and April. Approximately 2/3 of the deadlines occur during these times. Current Workshop Listings

Successful scholarship recipients research funding both in books and online: no one, comprehensive scholarship resource exists! In this workshop, the SRC staff demonstrates techniques to help you save time and hone your research skills so you can locate more scholarship opportunities. Don't forget to visit our Free Scholarship Search Services page, too.
This workshop provides help on how you can secure recommendation letters.
This workshop covers critical information about the scholarship process. Scholarships are not an emergency source of money: if you hope to receive funding, you need to plan ahead. This workshop teaches participants critical strategies to locate and apply for scholarships, how to identify resources, organizational techniques, prioritizing, and the scholarship process timeline. Past scholarship recipients sometimes participate to contribute successful strategies they used to receive scholarships.
The SRC created this workshop to teach brainstorming and writing techniques that can help focus and hone your writing skills for well-written scholarship statements and essays. UCLA students who would like additional one-on-one counseling for funding-related essays can call the SRC at (310)206-2875 to make an appointment with a scholarship counselor.
The SRC also conducts one or two Special Scholarship Workshops each quarter. Past workshops included U.S. National and British Merit Scholarships.
