Hi everyone! My name is Eva Durazo and I began my undergraduate career as a pre-med student here at UCLA. Those four years were filled with chemistry, physics, and many other science courses, but I also had the pleasure of volunteering for many great organizations on campus. I have always been interested in medicine, but found that I could combine my passion for health and community work through the field of public health. In 2003 I received my BS in Physiological Sciences, with a minor in Spanish. I then headed back home to the San Francisco Bay Area and worked for three years before deciding to attend graduate school. I’m currently in my second year of the master’s program at the School of Public Health in the Community Health Sciences department.

This is my first year as a Counseling Assistant with PEERS and I am excited to be working with you, especially as you start your journey here at UCLA. Stop by anytime and we can discuss classes, graduate school, and making your time in college the best possible.
