Karen Ryan grew up in Ventura County, California.She received her B.A. in Philosophy and English from U.C. Davis in 2004, while holding laboratory research positions throughout the four years in the U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and the U.C. Davis Center for Comparative Medicine.This somewhat eclectic background and interest in science led her to the URC/CARE in Spring 2005. She is currently the program representative for the SRP program, works with various scholarships including the Howard Hughes Undergraduate Research Program and the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program, manages the website, and assists students with whatever questions they may have!
