SUMMARY:At Eye Level Photo Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:A collaborative project with Rancho’s Violence Recovery and P
 revention Program. \n\nThis visual storytelling project features six Latin
 e and Black wheelchair users with spinal cord injuries exploring photograp
 hy as a way to document their everyday lives. All are former patients of R
 ancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey and work as peer
  mentors and counselors with people injured by gun violence through the Ra
 ncho Violence Recovery and Prevention Program (RVRPP). \n\nDeveloped throu
 gh a series of collaborative photography workshops\, the project approache
 s the camera as a tool of self-representation. Bringing together portraits
  of the participants with photographs and stories of their homes\, neighbo
 rhoods\, routines\, mobility\, and moments of joy\, the exhibition present
 s six distinct perspectives on disability and everyday life in Los Angeles
