DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nJoin us on Thursday\, October 8\, from 4 pm – 6 pm at 
 Wilson Plaza for an afternoon filled with community\, connection\, and ce
 lebration as we close National Hispanic Heritage Month. The program will f
 eature delicious food\, entertainment\, a resource fair for undergraduate\
 , graduate\, and professional students to network\, and special remarks fr
 om campus leadership.\n\n\n\n\n\nEvery fall quarter\, the UCLA hosts an an
 nual bienvenida (welcome) event for new and continuing undergraduate and
  graduate students\, where they can connect with current students\, staff\
 , faculty and alumni. The event aims to accomplish the following:\n\n 	Sen
 d affirming and welcoming messages to all students and their families\n 	I
 ncrease student’s knowledge of campus-wide resources\, organizations and
  opportunities\n 	Foster self-efficacy and community-efficacy\n 	Celebrate
  National Hispanic Heritage Month\n\nVolunteer at the 5th Annual Welcome 
 – Join us in giving new and continuing students a warm welcome to UCLA!\
 n\nTable at Latinx Welcome – UCLA departments\, campus programs\, stude
 nt organizations\, and community partners are invited to join us!\n\nThe e
 vent is free and open to the public.\n\nPlease note: Photography and video
